In 2020, led steers will be judged at the Rockhampton Junior Beef Show (30 Jun - 2 Jul), with steers to be killed 3/7/20.
100 Day Grainfed Feed-On Class 10:
2017 saw the introduction of a new feed-on class with competitors able to enter lots of 5 steers. This year, steers will be entered into Barmount Feedlot at Clarke Creek. The feed-on steer class uses current 100 day grainfed scoring formulae aiming at a 300 – 420kg carcase with 4 teeth or less, plus an added weight-gain scoring component. Steers will go on feed at Barmount Feedlot on 17 March with 5 steers per entry into the feedlot. The top 3 scoring carcases from each pen will make up the final pen score.
